Congratulations! If you are reading this, chances are you are in college or know someone who is currently enrolled in college. Either way, you or that special person deserves to be congratulated for their success. In addition to this, a fair warning must be given so that all college students remain on a course of good health while in college. The fact is there are many factors out there, especially on a campus with dorming unlike city commuter colleges, that of which can negatively affect a student if they find themselves involved in these risky activities or habits.
Let us explore a few such examples and possibly offer some advice so that a college student can perhaps find it simpler to avoid these types of situations.
- One of the most rampant problems, if you will, on a college campus is heavy alcoholism. Enjoy a drink here and there if you like, but remember never to get into a situation where you need alcohol to get you through the day.
- Drugs are also a problem. It is recommended that you not even experiment with addictive substances as some have had instantaneous negative effects from trying new drugs.
- Unprotected sex is arguably the most common source of sexually transmitted diseases on college campuses. Always remember to use protection when engaging in sexual activities.
We hope that you, the college student, do all in your power to stay healthy while in college. After all, you will be doing yourself the favor and thanking yourself later on!
